OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES FOR Hometown Rivals

Here are the official rules for the Hometown Rivals (“Contest”), being conducted by KUBA 1600/98.1, KKCY Country 103.1, and KKCYHD2 Power 95.5} (hereafter referred to as “Station”) and its owner Results Radio LLC, starting August 18 2024 and ending 11:59PM November 8 2024 (“Contest Period”)

The Station may change the dates and/or terms, conditions, or rules of the Contest without prior notice.  Any material changes to the Contest or its rules will be broadcast and posted on KUBAradio.com, KKCY.com, and Power955.com (hereafter referred to as “Website”). Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Contest as it deems necessary if it is not capable of completion as planned to include, without limitation, because of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, legal challenge or technical failures of any kind.

Station Judges will be the sole interpreter of Contest rules.  All decisions by the Station Judges will be final.  Entry into this Contest constitutes agreement by Entrant to abide by these rules.

By participating, Contestant consents to Station contacting them by telephone, email, or text.

By entering, Contestants agree to indemnify this Station and Results Radio LLC from and against all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from use of the prize or participation in this Contest.

By entering, Contestants, Semi Finalists, Finalists, and Winners agree to allow use of their entry materials (including submitted image(s),  Name, written material, and Voice) in Station on-air, stream, social media, newsletter, website, or other Station publicity platforms.  

Listeners of the Station online stream may not be able to participate in or be disadvantaged in participating in certain contests due to delays with the streaming of the broadcast signal. The Station is not responsible for technological errors or failures of the phone, text, internet, email, or computer systems.  

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Contest is void where prohibited by law. 

WHO CAN ENTER (ELIGIBILITY)

Contestants and Finalists who do not meet this Contest’s Eligibility requirements will be disqualified, and ineligible to become the contest winner.

The Contest is open to all US citizens who reside fulltime in the State of California and who are age 14 years or older  (“Contestant”).  

Current or former employees of Results Radio LLC, their immediate family members (including ex-spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws), individuals legally residing in the same household as current employees, Company affiliates, agents, successors, assignees, any promotional agency involved with this promotion,  current employees of other Radio stations in California and their family members,  are NOT eligible to participate or win. 

Contestants are required to provide truthful information to the Station on entry and during entire operation of the Contest. Station will disqualify any entry discovered to be based upon false or untruthful information. 

Failure to comply with the Rules may result in a Contestant’s disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize. Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, and to disqualify that Contestant from entering or winning future contests.

Contestant must prove control of their unique email address used for their entry by responding promptly to a test with two-factor authentication, or their entry will be declared invalid.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter (“Contestant”), complete the contest entry form (“Valid Entry”) on the Station’s Website during the Contest Periods, weekly Mondays 5AM through Fridays 11:59AM. Contestant will guess the winner of up to six (6) Friday prep football games.

Contestant may complete a Valid Entry a maximum of 1 time during each weekly Contest Period. More than 1 Contestant per household is eligible to enter. Contestant is defined as an unique email address.

Contestants under the age of 18 (as of the day of redeeming the Prize) must have a parent or legal guardian who will (1) claim the Prize and (2) agree to become the Winner assuming the obligations described in the section “Redemption of Prize”.

THE PRIZE

The Prize is:  a certificate redeemable for 2 burgers and non-alcoholic beverages from Silver Dollar Saloon, Marysville CA. Certificate expires 12-31-24, and must be presented in person on site at the restaurant.

There are twelve (12) Prizes.

Prize Total Value is: $45.00

METHOD OF DETERMINING AND CONTACTING FINALIST(s) and WINNER.

There are twelve (12) Winners. Each valid entry will contain a Win prediction for each of 6 games. In the event a game is rescheduled to occur earlier than Friday, that game will be declared null and removed from tabulation for picking the best score of the Contest Period. The weekly Winner shall be the entry with the most correct predictions. Tie games will count as a Loss.

In the event of a tie of predicted wins, the weekly Winner will be selected at random from the entries with the tied highest number of correct predictions for the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.

Random drawings if necessary will be conducted on the Monday morning following each Contest Period, unless it falls on a Legal Holiday in which the drawing will be conducted 1 day later.

Station will contact the Contest Period Winner by text or telephone (number entered on Contest form) to confirm eligibility. 

If the Winner fails to sign required forms within 5 business days, the Prize will be forfeited.

REDEMPTION OF PRIZE

Winner must appear to present valid, government-issued photo identification and personal social security number together with complete personal residence address, date of birth, and phone number, all such information to exactly match the information as supplied by Contestant’s entry. Winner will sign required affidavits and releases at Station offices or mutually agreed location, or the Prize will be forfeit.  Advance appointment at mutually agreed day and time is required.  After signing affidavits and releases, the Prize will be awarded to the Winner.

Prize cannot be awarded to third parties on behalf of the Winner, or else the Winner forfeits.

Prize is not transferable and may not be substituted for any reason, including but not limited to cancellation or postponement of events, business disruption, or other situations beyond the control of the Station.

Winner will be required to fill out a W-9 form to claim Prize, or else the Winner forfeits.  Taxes are not included. Payment of taxes will be the legal responsibility of Winner.  

Station offices are closed on Legal Holidays. Prize must be picked up by advance appointment at the offices of Results Radio LLC Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm at:
